Topic Time

At the moment our topic for this term is Gold mining. We have recently been to Lawrence,we travelled by a bus.2 classes split up, and we got big buddies to help get around the place.

Literacy

In room 6 we have been poetry for writing.
A Haiku is a poem what doesn't rhyme.
A Haiku only uses 3 lines & 17 syllables. The
first and  last lines have 5  syllables and the
middle line has 7 syllables.
I would like to share some:

Wonderful Miss G
28 children to teach
a clever teacher

The cows on the farm
their milk going off quite fast
 big fat silly cows

Autumn leaves falling
on the very hard ground swoosh!
Swoosh, swoosh on the ground

Haiku

Golden wrinkly leaves
mysterious secret leaves
I am a fantastic leaf!

Welcome To Room 6!

This is Outram School's Room 6 blog.  Yay!  We as a class will be endeavouring to put as much of our work on here for you as parents and the community to see what awesome learning is happening in our room.  Here is a picture of us to show off our enthusiasm!  We hope that you will read and comment on our class life.  Just click on 'comments' and let us know what you think!!!  Each child will take a turn to write on this blog.  Their writing is completely independent and not marked by me, so make sure you remember this when you are making a comment; as children of this age are still learning the skills of spelling and punctuation.   This blog  will cover a range of activities, topics, and happenings in the class. So please get involved.  An audience is vital!!!
